WHAT IS HOODFEST?
Hood-Fest is a street outreach ministry that goes into the streets with unconventional methods to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Mark 16:15, Jesus says,” Go ye into all the world and preach this gospel to all.” Our vision is to reach and conquer a generation that does not reverence Christ and introduce them to the things of God. Hood-Fest uses worship, Holy Hip-Hop, Poetry, and dance to minister to the youth.

Essentially Hood-Fest is a traveling church. We use a truck with a stage and a sound system to go into the inner city neighborhoods and minister. We are capable of ministering to 1 to 3000 or more people. No crowd is to small or to great because where two or more are gathered in his name (Christ’s name) there he will be also.

Hood-Fest also provides food, fun and material needs of the people we minister to. We strive to impact them spiritually and minister to their emotional needs, as well as the needs of their family. To help the family, we provide clothing, food, bibles, and in some cases furniture for children. We give toys for prizes, and we supply book-bags and supplies for school. At the event we feed the children physically also. We serve hotdogs, chips, cookies, and drinks. For fun we provide bouncy houses and games for the children. We also have a free concert every time we do an event. We work with many artists who donate their time because they want to minister to the children. Some of which are Angela Olglesby, John the Baptist, Adrienne, Unknown Warriorz, and many more who are linked to this website. Concerts can run from 2-4 hours, or as long as the Spirit of God persists.

In the near future, we are believing to purchase a center to minister to the God’s people. We will be able to mentor and disciple youth, feed and clothe the homeless, teach and record music of all type that will glorify God, After-school programs and much more.

Hood-Fest has led countless people to Christ and we strive to make sure they are planted in a church near their homes, but if necessary we will go and pick them up for church.

Hood-Fest will have its first annual Righteous Rebellion Rockin Hip-Hop Conference in Stone Mountain, Georgia on August 26, 2005. We plan to have a Christian bike crew, Holy Rollerz car club, workshops, Guest speakers, and Major Rock and Holy Hip-Hop artists.

Hood-Fest is a nonprofit (501C3) organization, and any donations are greatly appreciated. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus states, “Do this to the least of those and you have done it unto me.” We at Hood-Fest believe we will advance God’s Kingdom Thru ministry of music and spoken word.
